Speakman, Polished Chrome S-2005-HB Hotel Anystream

You must have noticed this one in luxurious hotel chains and think that there should have been some reason for its popularity. 

In fact, they have specifically named it for the hotels (Speakman Hotel S-2005-HB Shower Head), so I thought to check this one out.

Over the period of time I have noticed that it’s quite hard to find a solid performer in this category i.e., economical with solid performance and had a similar opinion about this one as well. After a “skeptical research” my opinion changed quite dramatically, there was not just a single reason for its popularity but multiple!

Let’s have some deep insights about it and see if this is something worth a shout!

The sleek modern look is actually very appealing, and with multiple corrosion resistant finishes offered (Brushed Nickel, Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Polished Brass), the freedom to decorate your bathing palace is just overwhelming. It’s not built out of any kind of metal and we surely can’t expect that in this price tag but it certainly does not affect its performance in any way.
Talking about its functionality, a small rotating knob along with the face allows you to change the water settings from one to another. Wait a minute, did I not tell you about different water settings yet?

Let me share. You may call it a two spray setting or a three spray as well.

Wait, what do you mean by that? It can only be either two settings or three, right?

Well, kind of. The two main settings are Intense and Massage, then there is a combination of two and that I do not really call a third setting but the company claims it that way, anyways not a big deal, the good part is that no matter which setting you are using, the water flows smoothly, quietly and at a steady pace.

Let’s move ahead and shed some light on its water pressure and GPMs. In normal circumstances the water pressure is outstanding and you will merely feel the need to remove the flow restrictor but if there are any low flow issues in your area then I highly recommend removing it which can be done simply by a pair of nose pliers.

The best suggestion I can give you about whether you should remove the flow restrictor or not is, first enjoy the experience with the restrictor, if not satisfied, go ahead and remove it.

Just like its many other masterpieces, Speakman has also added three GPM ratings here as well, (1.75 GPM, 2 GPM and 2.5 GPM), you just have to make sure that the one you are buying comes with the right ratings.
