Look & Feel/The Build:

For some of you, it can be even heavier than your whole shower fittings altogether. Ooh, by the way, you can put your hands down now, you may get tired.

We don’t see many companies offering a showerhead built completely out of metal in this price range which is another reason for it being a no-brainer. The Brass build ensures its longevity and durability that you rarely find in cheap plastic products.

You won’t get a chance to complain about its capability to give you an outstanding shower experience even with low water pressure. Especially for the people of California, it’s a no-brainer because of the government regulations about the water. It may be the last thing you will be looking for to get rid of the low water pressure issues.

In case, if you aren’t happy with the water pressure, feel free to remove the flow restrictor. There are different ways applied by different people but the one we recommend is in the following video.

It comes with 48 different spray patterns that are just at your fingertips which you can use to enjoy simply by moving the handle. Three main patterns we find in this showerhead are Intense, Rain and Flood.

The intense is actually really intense and people with long hair are going to love it, as it helps in cleaning the shampoo from the hair or just simply cleaning the long hairs. And, with a rain pattern, you get to enjoy the soft and heavy raindrop that gives you an amazing spa-like luxurious experience from the comfort of your very own bathing palace.

Talking about the Flood, this is where the actual flooding happens. Coming back from the office completely worn out, the first thing you need badly after one heck of a day is a Shower. A shower that can drain all of your tensions and worries from your shoulder to the drainage system of your home, and that’s what Flooding feature of Speakman S-2252 is capable of, Ripping off all your worries through flood feature!

Color Choices:

After the intense research about plenty of showerheads, I am quite confident to say that this one comes with the maximum number of colors offered. Namely Brushed Bronze, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Aged Brass.

Usually, polished chrome is the choice most of us make but still if someone has a different design and preference, there are enough to match with any kind of color and theme you are having in your palace.

Chill Pill Installation:

Like many others. It also comes with the chill pill installation feature which we have made up at Shower Galaxy. There is a manual inside the box that you merely need to read because it’s a simple process.
Wrap up the Teflon on the threads of the Shower Arm (clockwise), place the showerhead at the shower arm and start rotating gently around the threads. Later, you can use the adjustable wrench to further tighten it up. Simple right?

Maintenance?

Think of it as your baby, be very gentle and extremely soft. Mild soap in warm water works best
in keeping your baby healthy and keeping you wealthy. Another important thing specifically about the chrome-plated shower head is that you can also apply the solution of Vinegar (2 parts of vinegar and one part of water), to get rid of excessive mineral deposits. Just let your Showerhead soak in there for 30 minutes, if you want to keep it in there for a long time, you can make it half an hour (yeah, you read it right. Half An Hour) and then rinse it thoroughly.

Here you go with a brand new Speakman S-2252 just 6 Months Used. But! don’t you dare to apply this solution except for the Chrome Plated model otherwise, the results can be “I don’t know because I have never applied” (the company does not recommend it at all).

Extra Tip? To reduce mineral build-up, you can turn the handle to a FLOOD position after every use to let the water drain out. Also, you can keep the government restriction embodied i.e., the flow restrictor, and still won’t find much difference in the water pressure until and unless you have low water pressure in the line.

Warranty:

You will merely find the need to return this little guy but in case he is ill, Speakman is offering a limited warranty but I’d say, potentially, it can live for years if not decades without causing any kind of problem.

Answer: If you’re not willing to pay the extra cost of the S-2251 and get the 8 jets, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The S-2252 is the more popular model (likely since it’s less expensive), and there are a ton of satisfied users.
